EyeCareLive is a powerful tool that allows our office to virtually assess your optical needs. Whether you have a contact lens issue, an irritated eye, broken eyeglasses or any other optical issue we are available safely and conveniently, through your phone. While it is impossible to perform  complete comprehensive eye exams virtually, it is possible to assess your situation, and in some cases it is possible to diagnosis and treat. EyeCareLive limits your need for in office care. It is perfect to triage, diagnosis, treat and follow up on care. It is also a valuable tool to aid in caring for and repairing your eyeglasses. Through EyeCareLive we can evaluate your eyeglasses, virtually fit you for new lens, preorder needed materials and limit your need to be in the store.

EyecareLive is a secure telemedicine platform that allows Williams Eye Works to offer our patients remote encounters so our office can provide portions of your eye care without the need for an in-office visit. Although this does not replace a comprehensive eye exam, this is a powerful tool to provide access to consultations and eye care from the convenience and comfort of your home!

Through EyecareLive, patients can securely message and video chat with our office and eye doctor. The portal also allows the uploading of photos, test results, written copy of treatment plans, and alerts to aid the success of treatment plans.

Williams Eye Works also offers in-office remote doctor visits via DigitalOptometrics. Through DigitalOptometrics, we are able to offer an exam where the patient is in office and the doctor is remotely assessing the exam data. This enables us to offer extended hours of care, which means more flexibility to meet your visual needs!

Tele-Eyeglasses

Broken glasses can result from a wide variety of issues, which means the repair process can range from simple to quite complicated. Through EyecareLive, we can assess the damage, order any necessary parts for repair, and communicate what to expect for your unique repair process. Repairs can be dropped off and picked up curbside, minimizing the need for close personal interactions.

For the proper fit, several measurements must be taken while you wear your glasses. These measurements are unique to you and the given frame you are wearing. Through EyecareLive, we can assess how the frame fits you and take your unique measurements virtually! Whether you have a spare pair of frames at home or found the perfect deal online, Williams Eye Works is happy to assess the fit and order your custom prescription lenses.

Working and schooling from home has lead to a dramatic increase in time spent on digital devices. Excessive device use has been linked to eye fatigue, which can be combated with the right lens choice. Williams Eye Works offers lens consultations via video call or messaging to help you find the perfect lenses without having to leave the comfort of your home.

For that pair of glasses that isn’t fitting quite right, Williams Eye Works offers a virtual assessment of your eyeglass fit. Often, the perfect fit can be achieved with a few specific adjustments. Virtually assessing the needed adjustments allows our office to streamline your visit. Convenience, safety, and quality service are our top priorities.

Tele-Medicine

This service is primarily intended for customers seen in-office within the last 2 years. Contact lens prescriptions typically expire at 1 year. Due to the extenuating circumstances of the COVID-19 outbreak, we are offering visual assessments and acuity testing virtually to renew current contact lens prescriptions for anyone uncomfortable with an in-office assessment. The renewed prescription is valid for up to 1 year.

*For new customers, we must verify you were seen by a doctor within the past year via a dated contact lens prescription to offer this service.

Most of the common causes of red, irritated eyes can be diagnosed visually. Our office can provide virtual red eye assessments via secure video calls and promptly prescribe medication when needed.

Dry eyes can significantly reduce your quality of life and cause damage to the front surface of your eye. Through EyecareLive, we can monitor your symptoms of dryness throughout the day by periodically administering a dry eye questionnaire. This information paired with our virtual assessment through video call is used to create a treatment plan for you.

A few common cases requiring follow up assessments include new contact lens wear, dry eyes, and red/irritated eyes. Williams Eye Works can offer virtual follow up assessments to ensure the health and safety of our patients.

*Some cases may warrant an in-office follow up if complications arise.
